I live in Madison, WI. Population: about a quarter million people. Our tv stations are the local tv stations for a large swath of rural Wisconsin, which means they reach maybe half a million people total. So we end up with local tv commercials like this one.
I don’t even know where to begin. Apparently someone at Cleary Building Corporation, purveyors of fine prefabricated metal buildings, thinks that Porsche owners are weird foppish lisping Germans who wear bright colored scarves under their windbreakers. Bonus points for the lady in the passenger seat who can’t be bothered (or isn’t given the opportunity) to put on a similar lisping German accent.
At least Cleary Building Corporation will still take these imaginary folks’ money to build a “condo” for their Porsch-UH.

This is rather... pathetic.
I feel bad for the German population over there.

There’s actually tons and tons of German people in Wisconsin and generally the state has a proud German heritage.
